Head of PE & Assistant Director of Sport

Exciting opportunity to join our busy and successful Prep School for September 2024 or January 2025 in the role of Head of Physical Education and Assistant Director of Sport. This is a new role which will be responsible for leading and managing the PE programme whilst also supporting the Director of Sport in the delivery of the School's successful sports programme.

Pinewood School is set in 84 acres of rolling countryside on the border between Wiltshire and Oxfordshire and offers a quality, family-based, co-educational day and boarding environment for over 400 children aged 3-13.

This is a full-time position during term-time which would suit someone willing to involve themselves fully in school life and who is able to support games commitments throughout the term (including every other Saturday morning). Applicants must be able to demonstrate experience of teaching and sport in an educational environment and also a genuine passion for coaching games with particular interest in netball, hockey or cricket.

Pinewood regularly puts out over 30 x match teams each week, giving the opportunity for all the children to participate in regular inter-school fixtures. Each term Pinewood will have in the region of 250+ inter-school fixtures, competing across a strong cohort of schools.

Salary will be dependent on experience and qualifications.
