Full Job Description

  • Technical knowledge and experience with either car/light and /or heavy vehicle maintenance and repair including fault diagnosis.

  • Complete necessary paperwork and documentation for each repair or maintenance task.

  • Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while working in the workshop.

  • Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and resolve issues.

  • MOT preparation and safety inspection, preferably Irtec qualified.

  • An industry-recognised qualification such as NVQ Level 3 in Light or Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or equivalent) is preferred.

  • Ability to perform heavy lifting and operate forklifts or other equipment as needed

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • A full driving licence is essential, and PCV/HGV licence would be an advantage.

    Black Cat Travel is one of the county's leading Bus and Coach operators. A family run company which carries our all its own internal maintenance, repairs, servicing and MOT testing prep for a diverse range of vehicles and equipment, from cars and vans to LGVs and PCV's.

    The position is full-time (basic hours are 0700 - 1800, Monday to Friday) plus overtime as required. You will also be required to cover the weekend rota and out-of-hours call outs as required.
