Full Job Description

  • Take a leading role in the next phase of growth in Lentus Composites' product portfolio.

  • Detail the scope of facilities required to support immediate and near-term growth of product development and delivery.

  • Be responsible for the specifying and commissioning of new manufacturing equipment.

  • Design, develop, test and iterate innovative solutions to technically challenging problems, addressing the key and wider performance and environmental requirements.

  • Apply engineering tools throughout the design process, as appropriate, evaluating and forecasting performance through stress analysis, CAD schemes and FE methods.

  • Oversee and undertake the realisation of paper design through prototyping, preparing and refining machine code and manufacturing strategies.

  • Specify testing regimes that are efficient and effective in substantiating the key design performance characteristics within the operational performance window.

  • Evaluate performance vs. design expectations. Correlate design and manufacturing characteristics to performance and product behaviour.

  • Assist Lead Engineers Liaise with customers to establish a product specification.

  • Assis Lead engineers maintain timely and regular communication with customers, preparing reports and delivering presentation materials as required.

We are looking for someone who brings a high degree of technical understanding therefore an engineering degree is essential, as is demonstrable industry experience (ideally Technology, Automotive or Motorsport). This is a great opportunity to work for an established company in a role offering great variation and further career development., Engineering degree BEng (minimum), MSc or MEng preferable with demonstrable industry experience

  • Professional accreditation with an industry related body would be advantageous

  • Requirements Analysis, Design Skills, Manufacturing Methods and Procedures, Process Improvement,

  • High degree of technical understanding,

  • CAD SolidWorks (preferable) and/or Catia experience solid model, assembly and manufacturing drawing creation.

  • Quality conscious.
