Full Job Description

As a Paralegal at Santander Asset Management (SAM UK), you will be responsible for duties across Company Secretarial, Legal and Project work.

You will be joining a small team, which will allow you to provide proactive, value-added, hands-on support to colleagues in SAM UK and other parts of the Santander Group.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced and ambitious Paralegal who may be currently studying towards a professional qualification, looking to work more exposure in a rewarding environment.

The difference you'll make includes:

  • Organising, attending and minute taking at SAM UK boards and committees

  • Managing company secretarial and governance related matters including responsibility for company books, statutory requirements, and filings.

  • Assisting with the negotiation of agreements, responsibility for legal agreement databases, and keeping template agreements up to date and compliant Supporting with SAM UK projects both business and legal (including legal technology).

    This role is based in Triton Square, London and our current expectation is at least 3 days in an office every week.

  • Previous experience of working with boards and committees to help coordinate the governance programme including taking minutes

  • Demonstrable experience of working in a broad Paralegal position


  • It would also be nice for you to have:
  • Part Qualified in Chartered Institute of Legal Executives (CILEX) or Professional Diploma in Higher Law and Practice

  • Experience of implementing asset management and/or legal technology solutions would be beneficial]

  • An ability to prioritise and communicate effectively to different levels of stakeholders

  • A willingness attitude with an ability and commitment to learning new skills and providing high standard of support to the business
