Full Job Description
- To 'clean up' a variety of sets of data (sometimes standard, sometimes ad hoc) so they can be analysed effectively.
- To analyse data using appropriate software such as Microsoft Excel and Power BI.
- To create appropriate charts that provide the insight required from the data.
- To identify appropriate KPIs with St Basils departments
- To set up Power BI reports based on these KPIs so that they can be accessed by the key department personnel and have automated source data where possible.
- To identify the improvement opportunities for teams across St Basils based on an operating model approach covering customers' needs, processes, management and culture.
- To use Lean principles to guide the facilitation of re-designing the desired operating model based on new processes, management and culture.
- To involve the 'host' teams in the above stages of determining improvement opportunities and re-designing the operating model to ensure buy-in.
- To co-create realistic implementation plans with 'host' teams.
- To manage delivery of the plans, always with a focus on the desired end output.
- Where appropriate, to design and deliver training to support the roll out of any improvements.
- To provide thoughtful coaching to 'host' team members as appropriate
- To build and maintain effective relationships with all parts of the organisation to facilitate the above work. Key relationships are with:
- To write effective reports, presentations, articles and Workplace posts for communicating key messages.
- To facilitate problem solving and design workshops.
- To design and deliver training linked to Performance Improvement Hub work where appropriate.
- To support parts of the organisation who are leading improvement work in their area
Essential: - Lean accreditation
- Six Sigma accreditation, The ability to communicate effectively at all levels (both orally and in writing) and to build effective working relationships
- Results focused, the ability to work proactively, plan, organize, optimise resources and complete targets within agreed timescales
- Ability to problem solve
- Experience of coaching and supporting others in achieving positive outcomes
- Preparing reports from data
- Facilitating workshops
- Voluntary Sector experience
- Design and delivery of training sessions
- Team management
- Basic understanding of Lean principles
- Solid understanding of Lean principles and standard tools and approaches
- Statistics
- Computer literate
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Ability to manipulate and analyse data seeing trends and identifying risks
- Present data and analysis in various formats
- Ability to communicate information in a range of ways, e.g. slides, report writing
- Ability to relate to those in authority and to work with multi agency partnerships.
