This is about providing invaluable support to your Director, managing the systems and processes in your area to keep things running smoothly.

You'll play a key role in ensuring an efficient and co-operative working environment. It'll involve day- to-day organisational work, data processing and analysis. Naturally, you'll need to be on the ball and well organised, with excellent attention to detail and a willingness to learn.

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a driven, enthusiastic Assistant to join the ALDI National Supply Chain Management (NSCM) Department based in Atherstone as PA to NSCM Directors. This is an exciting and diverse role in which the successful candidate will be exposed to a wide scope of responsibilities, and a great opportunity to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels across the business.

Your New Role:

  • Diary management and long term calendar management (meetings, planning & preparation) and schedule review to ensure on-time delivery of key pieces of work

  • Arranging UK and International travel, including flights, trains, hotels, airport parking, managing itineraries and booking meetings.

  • Ensuring actions and information requests are followed up appropriately

  • Researching, sourcing and general preparation for any events or meeting

  • Building and maintaining excellent relationships and communications with a multitude of contacts and stakeholders, internally and externally

  • Regular handling of confidential and sensitive information with the upmost discretion

  • Supporting Director with external stakeholders, Senior Management and visitors and preparing for visits.

  • Planning, co-ordinating and managing meetings including booking meeting rooms, providing refreshments, and ITC set up, agenda preparation

  • Support MD/GD PA with department queries and administrative tasks

  • Supporting the inductions of new Managers and Assistant team members.

  • Create/Support with training plans and training days

  • Proactively identifying opportunities to improve current processes and increase efficiency and effectiveness within the teams

  • Managing projects through to completion on behalf of Director

  • Minute taking

  • Collate weekly KPI report and monitor monthly saving submissions

  • Arrange contract signing sessions for all new starters

  • Collate new starter packs for Directors

  • Responsible for all Personnel tasks

  • Support Managers and team with department queries and administrative tasks

  • Reconcile monthly credit card statements for the Directors

  • Ensure National deadlines are complied with for own area of responsibility

  • Create PowerPoint presentations on behalf of Director team

  • Creation of various data reports as requested by Directors

    Advanced Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills

  • Experience working as a Personal Assistant at a senior level

  • Good working knowledge of how to put presentations and briefings together

  • High level of attention to detail and time management skills

  • Ability to understand and anticipate needs to ensure appropriate outcomes

  • Ability to remain confidential and professional with sensitive people related data and information

  • Pro-active, exceptionally well organised and able to prioritise, communicate and manage expectations on delivery

  • Able to work and deliver under own initiative and build support networks

  • Confident, professional and articulate

    Starting salary from £36,080 - £42,135 (FTC - 12 months)

  • Monday - Friday 8am to 4:30pm, with the opportunity of 2 days a week remote working
