These 24-week programmes are held in various locations across West Kent and are conducted in collaboration with professional artists, local arts organisations, and our Creative Agents, supported by the West Kent Mind community wellbeing team. The programme leverages creativity to support mental health and wellbeing. After a successful and award-winning first year of the three-year initiative, we are seeking a 2 dedicated and effective Programme Lead to help us achieve our ambitious objectives for the second and third years. The role involves overseeing the project's operations to ensure successful implementation and demonstrate its positive impact.   • As our programme lead, you will be responsible for overseeing the operational management of the project to ensure its successful implementation in West Kent. Your role will involve utilising strong operational skills like motivational abilities, analytical thinking, and decision-making proficiency.


  • Leading a team of dedicated Creative Minds staff, volunteers, and subcontracted artists to ensure project delivery meets targets.


  • Engaging with local artists and key stakeholders to drive the Creative Minds programme, while also exploring future collaborations and programme integration including the promotion of the programme.


  • Managing project finances by planning, allocating, and monitoring resources within the project budget, providing regular updates to senior management to ensure cost-effectiveness.

  • Who you are

    All previous experience may be paid or voluntary, full or part-time, in the UK or overseas.
  • An excellent organiser, it is essential that you have a background in project management and programme delivery, committed to seeing a project through with a keen eye for detail.


  • You will be comfortable engaging with a variety of stakeholders and be confident in stakeholder analysis to manage expectations and objectives.


  • You will have experience collaborating with funders, understanding and delivering on their requirements.


  • You will be a skilled leader providing management and operational guidance to your passionate team.


  • Your experience in providing services within the voluntary, community, and social enterprise (VSCE) sector is desirable but not essential.


  • You are passionate about empowering people to learn and improve their skills and knowledge, recognising the transformative impact this can have on individuals who are experiencing a mental health problem.


  • Your lived experience of the impact of utilising arts and creativity to enhance either your own mental health and wellbeing or that of others is desirable but not essential.

  • Maintaining a positive 'can do' attitude and being proactive will be key. Proficiency in using a customer relationship management (CRM) system, especially in data reporting and presentation, is essential.


  • An understanding of project management tools like stakeholder analysis and Gantt charts is crucial. It is essential to know how and when to utilise these tools and adapt the project to guarantee successful delivery.


  • Demonstrating the capacity to present data effectively to a diverse audience through data dashboards, reports and presentations to support project decisions and showcase its impact.


  • Your enthusiasm for showcasing the positive effects of our services on clients, and analysing its impact to suggest service enhancements, is vital.


  • Previous experience in team management is essential., Project Management: 2 years (required)

  • Holidays

    It's important to take time off. We give you 23 days a year, increasing by one day per year of service up to 30 days, plus bank holidays. To refresh and recuperate before the start of a new year, we also give you an extra three days holiday between Christmas and New Year. 4 For part-timers this is all calculated pro-rata.

    If eligible you'll be auto-enrolled into our pension scheme, and our contribution is based on 3% of your salary.
