Full Job Description

As a New Programmes Manager, you'll be responsible for setting up a brand new sustainable service based in Southampton. The aim of this programme is to support young people with a learning disability and/or autism and their families to navigate post college years into a more independent life.,

  • Set up programme policy and procedures, including Safeguarding in consultation with the Director of Development

  • To identify risks, develop mitigations and manage through risk register

  • Identify community venues and activity partners in Southampton where the activities will run, through building community relationships

  • Establish an activity plan for the first six months, and co-ordinate with specialist staff to deliver specific sessions (including Wellbeing lead)

  • Set up performance and outcome monitoring processes, in consultation with the Director of Development

  • To manage and deliver the initial trial programmes to establish effective formats and type of support delivery

  • Develop effective move-on procedure, including liaison with other organisations as required

  • Implement monitoring and review activity to evidence the success of the programme

    Understanding of Care Act 2014, Safeguarding Legislation and all policies and procedures to run a quality service

  • Experience working with adults with a learning disability and/or autism

  • Understanding positive risk

  • Experience of team management, or looking to make the step into management

  • Must have the ability to inspire and motivate

  • Creative, can do attitude

  • Due to the location of the role, a UK driving licence with access to a motorised vehicle is essential, working with adults with learning disabilities: 1 year (preferred)

    Programme Manager - New Start Up

    6 Month Fixed Term Contract, with option to extend subject to funding

    2.5 days (18 hours per week)

    Salary £14 400 (£30 000 FTE)
