Full Job Description

The day-to-day responsibility of Project Management for various customer requirements relating to chassis specific components. The Chassis Project Manager controls their allocated customer(s) and related projects, ensuring the smooth running, OTD, best price quotations, cost analysis and supply relationship for defined chassis customers., In your role as a Chassis Project Manager, you will be expected to report directly to the Motorsport Business Manager with regular status reports of any current projects. You are also expected to, if required liaise with Design/Technical, Production, Inspection, Purchasing and Administration departments for any tasks relating to your designated customers.

Key aspects of the role are as follows:

· Manage the relationship with the customer and all stakeholders.

· Ensure the promotion of awareness of customer requirements throughout the organisation.

· Ensure deliverable dates are achievable before accepting order.

· Manage the best price process, compiling costs and submitting quotation(s) with approval by the Business Manager, if above an agreed cost threshold.

· Work with GTR design team to clarify engineering requirements for engine projects.

· Perform contract reviews and confirm with departmental managers before any work is undertaken. Making sure all key aims and deliverables are clearly achievable.

· Produce BOM's and routing as required.

· Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation and update if required in an efficient manner.

· Provide/review customer quotes and agree final prices with Business Manager.

· To perform risk management as required and highlight any risk to Business Manager.

· Continued review of customer revision changes, highlighting any issues to design/production.

· Providing components and assemblies to the customer defined specification.

· Ensure that projects are delivered on time, within scope and to budget.

· Regular cost review of current and ongoing projects/components.

Manage any staff allocated to you within the Project Management team, controlling, training and supporting to successfully deliver customers' requirements.

Promote and adhere to the use of the MRP system.

Always working to the agreed business process.

We are looking for an ambitious, driven Project Manager to join our Chassis projects team. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to grow and develop within the business, working in a dynamic growing team at the pinnacle of motorsport., · A 'self-starter' attitude with energy and enthusiasm, able to thrive in a small business environment.

· Good communicational and written skills.

· Engineering Degree or relevant workplace experience.

· Have experience in a similar fast-paced/high-pressure industry - ideally Composites.

· Experienced MS Project and Microsoft user.

· Experience in the use of MRP systems, preferably Progress Plus,

· Good understanding of Composite and Metallic materials and their properties,

· Experience of composite processes,

· Experience of Engineering manufacturing processes,

· Experience of working in a team environment, with good interpersonal skills.,

  • 20 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays. (+1 day each year of service up to 5),

    Flexible working available on request, subject to authorization by senior management.

    Should the need arise, you may be required to travel and work away from GTR Ltd premises. This will be discussed and is a project dependant requirement.

    Note that due to the continually changing nature of the job, duties will change and other

    tasks will be required as directed by management.

    Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

    Pay: £40,000.00-£55,000.00 per year
