School Finance Officer

We are working with a local (Liverpool) MAT Trust who require a School Finance Officer to start with them as soon as possible. The role will be fixed term up to 31st August 2024.

This is a full time role, working 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Although, the Trust will consider part time for the successful candidate. The part time option can be 3 full days or 5 mornings or afternoons.

The successful candidate should have experience of working in a financial setting and a proven track record of competence and accuracy in financial management. Ideally, you will have a business or accountancy qualification and hold membership of a relevant professional body i.e., AAT (level 3/4), ACCA, ICAEW, etc.

As an example of some of the responsibilities you will have:

- Prepare and send purchase orders
- Process invoice
- Deal with queries to and from Suppliers
- Chase SEN Income from LA
- Deal with Bursary payments/queries
- Prepare VAT Return and Submission, VAT Reconciliation in August Claim
- Create payment runs for approval and upload to the bank
- Process transactions and bank reconciliations
- Ad hoc work (commensurate with role)
