Full Job Description

Due to our expanding portfolio and long-term framework expansion, we have an immediate need for Principal level Mechanical Engineers specialising in Building Services Engineering. You will report to a Regional MEP Lead and be responsible for both the support of your team as well as client facing work. You'll need to be able to demonstrate professionalism and an inquisitive approach, showing a desire to explore innovative ideas while still understanding the need for a good commercial balance.

We are seeking strategic thinkers who can coordinate the designs of mechanical building services projects, providing an oversight of the project performance alongside an appreciation of quality assurance and business management. You should have considerable experience working in Building Services Engineering Design within a Consultancy, coupled with sound working knowledge of AutoCad & Revit MEP and thermal modelling software. There is a requirement to coordinate teams and mentor / coach more junior project members so being able to comfortably support the team whilst maintaining standards in work and efficiency is vital.

Opportunities are available with a Hybrid working pattern in Birmingham, London and Manchester.

Here's what you'll need :

  • MCIBSE accreditation or working towards

  • Education to Degree Standard in a relevant discipline, or equivalent experience and knowledge

  • Experience of working within a Building Services Engineering Design Consultancy

  • Working knowledge of AutoCad & Revit MEP

  • Working knowledge of Thermal modelling software (such as IES) and interpretation of results

  • Knowledge and experience of UK regulations

  • Sustainable technology integration knowledge and experience.

  • Good communication skills

  • Project Management experience

  • An enquiring approach with a desire to explore innovative ideas whilst still understanding the need for a good commercial balance
