Full Job Description

Young People’s Service

The Magdalene Group is a well-respected, award-winning, innovative women-only organisation, established in 1994, providing trauma- and gender-informed services with the violence against women and girls (VAWG) agenda at the heart of all that we do.

The young people’s service works across Norfolk supporting children and young people around child sexual exploitation (CSE) with prevention and intervention services. This includes the Rose Project which delivers 1:1 support for those identified as most at risk of CSE. The Jigsaw Programme works with small and larger groups delivering educational workshops to give space and opportunity for them to learn and to discuss concerns connected with CSE and unhealthy relationships. We have an excellent track record of delivering these services.

This role will see you leading on safeguarding and providing oversight and support to frontline CSE practitioners as well as having your own caseload of young people for 1:1 work. You will be involved in preparing materials and delivering workshops to children and young people discussing various topics including CSE, grooming, healthy and unhealthy relationships, consent, toxic masculinity, online safety and more.

Salary range: £26,000 - £28,000 per annum fte.

Hours of work: Minimum 30 hours per week, up to 37.5 hours per week. This role could include occasional evening and weekend work.

Organisational benefits include: Workplace pension contribution 5%, death-in-service benefit, generous leave, employee eye-care scheme, support through a 24/7 confidential employee assistance programme, hybrid working, cycle-to-work scheme, organisation-wide away days, career development pathways, training and wellbeing initiatives.

This organisation is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
