Store Manager

Morrison Water Services is currently looking to recruit a Stores Manager to work on our IOS Anglian Water Alliance in Basildon.

As the Stores Manager you will be part of our construction team who are responsible for design supply and installation of MEICA capital projects.

As the Stores Manager you will ensure the smooth running of the day-to-day operations in stores whilst also maintaining a clean and safe working environment with the store. You will maintain a healthy stock availability for the business demand and ensuring the yard never runs too low of any stock items. You will do this by ensuring regular stock takes of meters, materials, fittings, and plant.
You will make sure your reports share workload, co-ordinate holidays, and work as a coherent team. You will liaise regularly with the Procurement Manager on all matters and reporting any issues to in a timely manner. You must use your experience of improving the organization and location of items in the yard and aisles at the warehouse and report any issues to Procurement Manager in a timely manner.

You must take delivery of goods with the use of a forklift when required and be experienced in the management of PUWER and LOLER. You must be able to manage our commercial fleet and have experienced in workshop management, providing management to the store person whilst also managing the environment and PAT.
Do you have people management experience?
Are you able to build and maintain a team?
Do you have stores and stock management experience?
Are you experienced using MS Excel, MS Word and Microsoft 365?
Do you have experience of assertive use of communication channels: E-mails, MS Teams & phone calls?
Have you previously used Orderwise or digital system stock experience (preferred)?
Are you forklift and telehandler trained (preferred)?
Do you have a full UK or EU driving License

Additional Information

• You must possess a high degree of manual dexterity demonstrated through the use of hand tools.


• You will be required to work outdoors in all weathers and be required to walk and stand on uneven ground.
