Full Job Description
As a Curry Chef and Tandoor Chef, you will be responsible for the following:
Curry Chef:
- Prepare a variety of authentic Indian curries, ensuring quality, taste, and presentation meet the restaurant's standards.
- Develop and innovate new curry recipes while adhering to traditional cooking methods and flavors.
- Maintain inventory levels and order supplies to ensure uninterrupted kitchen operations.
- Train and supervise junior kitchen staff to ensure consistency and efficiency in curry preparation.
- Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards at all times.
- Expertly operate and maintain the tandoor oven, ensuring optimal temperature and cooking conditions.
- Prepare a range of tandoori dishes, including meats, seafood, and bread, with precision and attention to detail.
- Creatively experiment with tandoor cooking techniques to enhance flavors and textures.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to develop innovative tandoori-inspired dishes for seasonal menus.
- Monitor food quality and ensure all tandoor-cooked dishes meet the restaurant's standards

- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation regulations
Proven experience working in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Extensive knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary trends
- Familiarity with menu planning and costing
