Education Support Officer - Specialist Provision Centre - Castle Rushen High School

Join our team as an Education Support Officer within the Specialist Provision Centre (SPC) at Castle Rushen High School where you'll support a teaching and learning approach that is tailored to each students individual complex learning needs.

Under the guidance of the SPC Manager, you will work closely with our team to plan and deliver aspects of the curriculum for students who may have social/emotional, behavioural, physical, sensory and/or learning difficulties. You will support, follow and contribute to individual education plans, working with small groups or one to one with pupils. You'll also set up activities for the day and take pupils out on trips, helping them learn life skills.

Our students are very much part of the wider school community and join their mainstream peers for some lessons, lunches, assemblies and other school events. Some students also spend time in mainstream classes during the week, with staff working closely together to ensure this is successful. We are a busy centre with a really great team who support one another and always welcome new ideas to support a range of different needs.

A competitive salary that increases each 12 months until you reach the salary maximum.

Annual leave starting from 21 days, a Privilege Day and all Manx and U.K. bank holidays; your annual leave will increase after your first year and again after your third year.
