Full Job Description

The Finance Business Partner will act as a critical bridge between the finance department and the supply chain management team within our alcohol wholesale business. This role is pivotal in driving financial performance and providing strategic financial insights that aid in decision-making processes, particularly in optimising the supply chain to achieve cost efficiencies and enhance profitability.,

  • Financial Planning and Analysis: Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis activities, focusing on supply chain operations. Analyse financial data to identify trends, opportunities, and risks within the supply chain.

  • Strategic Support: Offer strategic financial advice to the supply chain management team, helping to develop cost-effective supply chain strategies and optimise inventory levels.

  • Performance Management: Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to supply chain efficiency, cost reduction, and other financial targets. Provide actionable insights to improve performance.

  • Risk Management: Identify financial risks related to supply chain operations and recommend mitigation strategies.

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a key financial liaison between supply chain, procurement, sales, and the finance department to ensure alignment of financial and operational objectives.

  • Cost Analysis: Conduct detailed cost-benefit analyses on supply chain initiatives, including supplier contracts, logistics, and procurement strategies.

  • Investment Appraisal: Evaluate financial viability of proposed capital investments in supply chain infrastructure or technology, presenting recommendations to senior management.

    Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field. A Master's degree or professional certifications (e.g., CFA, CPA) is advantageous.

  • Proven experience (3+ years) in a finance role with a strong focus on supply chain management, preferably in the alcohol wholesale or FMCG industries.

    Glass Half Full are a new and exciting wholesale drinks distributor & logistics business launched in 2022 who provide a large portfolio Alcoholic and Non-Alcoholic beverages within the hospitality industry. We are a fast-moving drinks wholesale operation based in Wigan, Greater Manchester
