Are you looking to progress your career as an Internal Auditor Manager? If so, we have a fantastic opportunity for you to lead our fantastic Internal Audit team., In this crucial role, you will be instrumental in providing an independent and objective audit service that adds value and improves our council's services. Your expertise will guide the audit team through intricate assignments, fostering an environment of continuous improvement. Your strategic vision will be crucial in developing audit programs that address our most significant risks, whilst your leadership will empower your team to deliver thorough and insightful reviews., For many of our roles (and where it is possible) we are currently working remotely and anticipate in the future returning to a hybrid office model on a flexible basis. This will still include work-from-home and flexi-time opportunities in order to provide a good work-life balance whilst still ensuring that teams benefit from in-person interaction. Candidates should therefore be within commutable distance of our offices in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire or able to attend meetings as required if further afield.

As a qualified member of the Institute of Internal Auditors, or equivalent qualification, you'll use your excellent technical and communication skills to collaborate with colleagues to address audit findings and drive continuous improvement. With your knowledge of public sector, you will deliver audit recommendations that are reasonable and reflective of service resources and corporate priorities and risks. Using your strong leadership skills, you'll not only direct our talented team of auditors but also foster their professional growth, equipping them with the skills to implement robust audit procedures.
