Full Job Description

The role of Lecturer or Senior Lecturer involves being an integral part of the team ensuring provision is to a high-standard and compliant with DfE and OfS requirements. You will contribute to the planning, design and development of modules and programmes and curriculum changes (including adaptions resulting from DfE mandated frameworks) to deliver a range of high-quality teaching materials and associated student assessment activities. At Grade 7 this can involve module leadership, while Grade 8 may also have programme management responsibility., You will lead the subject specialist curriculum provision for our secondary student teachers, contribute to generic aspects of the ITE programmes and supervise practice-based learning across a number of schools within our partnership.

You will hold a relevant undergraduate degree with QTS, or PGCE (QTS) with a track record of successful maths teaching in a secondary school/provision and also experience at teaching undergraduate level and above - or delivering equivalent relevant professional training and development. We are seeking an individual with excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrable ability to operate effectively in a demanding environment, which has both academic and professional practice requirements and compliance demands, including internal and external auditing and inspection.

You will be appointed as a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in Secondary Maths, with a second subject specialism where available.
