Full Job Description

We are looking for two Post-Doctoral Research Fellows who will undertake research including collecting and critically analysing research data using quantitative and qualitative techniques. Through research they will report on data analysis, interpret findings, write research reports, and disseminate these through conference presentations and published papers. The new Centre will have a strongly collaborative approach with local, regional, and national uniformed public services organisations to tackle issues around equality, diversity, and inclusion. These roles will also include work to support both PIER and the VFI. The post holders will also contribute to the development of research objectives in collaboration with the lead academic.

These posts offer a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience of undertaking research in a relevant field and who wants to develop their skills in writing reports and papers to join our excellent team and be at the heart of this important new Centre, as well as supporting the research excellence within both VFI & PIER. The successful candidates will have a Degree plus PhD or Professional Doctorate in an appropriate subject area. This role would ideally suit a candidate who is at the start of their academic journey, whether this is through a traditional or a uniformed-services route. We hope that the post holder will be able to explore their academic potential and learn from a vibrant group of internationally leading researchers. There will be plenty of opportunities for development, mentoring and challenge.
