Full Job Description

This is an opportunity to join our established Adult Physiotherapy team on a 12 month Fixed Term contract. This post is open to new graduates and established band 5 physiotherapists. Successful candidates will join our diverse team, who work across a range of clinical specialties within an acute care setting, rehabilitation and MSK outpatients.

You will work alongside colleagues to assess and treat patients across a range of clinical conditions with

varying degrees of complexity.

You will be responsible for delivering evidence based interventions to facilitate recovery, promote well-

being and optimise independent function.

You will be an active member of the physiotherapy team and the wider multi-disciplinary team. We are

seeking people who can adapt to changing environments and work well in a team., You will work alongside senior physiotherapists and the wider MDT and your development will be

supported by the inpatient leads. The post holder will be responsible for a designated clinical caseload,

support is available in the form of supervisions and joint working.

The role requires a dynamic physiotherapist who is able to work within the physiotherapy team and

multidisciplinary team to provide exemplary care to the patient. The successful applicant will utilise

their outstanding organisation and communication skills in order to support with the assessment,

treatment and rehabilitation of patients whilst achieving outstanding physiotherapy outcomes.

This post will include working with a diverse range of conditions in highly complex patients with

physical, psychological and social care needs. You will assess, diagnose, implement and evaluate

individual programmes of care for patients with a wide range of clinical needs. Band 5 rotational

physiotherapists have the exciting opportunity to rotate 6 monthly between the geographrical area

We provide hospital services from two acute sites - Darlington Memorial Hospital and University Hospital of North Durham. We have a centre for planned care in Bishop Auckland and provide care from community hospitals in Chester-le-Street, Shotley Bridge, Barnard Castle, Sedgefield and Weardale as well as over 80 other community based settings and providing care in patients' homes.
